Frequently Asked Questions

How do I generate a session code for online sessions?
Once you log in to Flumi as a professional, you can easily create a new session. The platform will automatically generate a unique session code for you. For online sessions, simply share this code with your participant; they can join the session using this code without needing to create an account.
Can I use Flumi for in-person sessions?
Yes. With Flumi's in-person session option, you can run activities together on a single screen (computer or tablet) while in the same room as your participant. This format requires no second device — full control of the session remains entirely with you, from a single device.
Will the participant be asked for any membership or personal information?
No. Participants (children or teens) do not need to create an account or share any personal data. The session code provided by the professional is the only requirement to join.
What does the participant see when the session opens? Can they choose a game?
When the participant joins the session, the following welcome message appears on their screen: "Hello [Participant]! [Professional's Name] is getting ready... Please wait, the game is about to start." The screen remains like this until you make a selection. Participants cannot choose games on their own; all guidance and activity selection are managed entirely by the professional.
What is the Activity Library, and how do I create a session plan for a participant?
The Activity Library, found in the "Start Session" section, is where you can browse the full list of platform activities along with their content details and target skills. You can filter activities by the skill to be practiced and add suitable ones to a participant's personal plan with a single click. When a session is started with that participant, only the activities added to their plan are displayed in the Game Panel. Planning ahead eliminates in-session search time, improves efficiency, and allows you to run the entire process in a focused, uninterrupted way tailored to the participant's needs.
How can I manage the process after the participant connects to the session?
Once you start the session, you manage the process through the Game Panel. If you used the Activity Library beforehand to create a personalized plan for the participant, opening the "Session Plan" tab in the panel will display only the activities you selected for that participant, so you can start directly. If you did not plan ahead, you can make a real-time selection from the full list. While deciding, you can open "You Won't Believe This!" (interesting facts displayed sequentially) or "Floating Bubbles" (participants scatter bubbles with mouse movements) to keep the participant engaged.
Can I see the participant's screen during the session?
Yes. For two-player games, you can play simultaneously and interactively with your participant. For single-player activities, you can track all the choices and actions the participant makes live (in real-time) directly from your own screen.
Is there any risk of ads appearing on the screen during activities?
Absolutely not. Flumi is specifically designed as a professional platform for specialists working with children. No advertisements will ever be displayed on the session screen; participants can only access the activities initiated by the professional.
My connection dropped, or I accidentally closed the tab during a session. Can I return to the same session?
Yes, but acting quickly is important. If you return within 5 minutes, the session will safely resume from where it left off. If this time limit is exceeded, the session will automatically end.
During an online session, will it close if the participant's internet briefly disconnects?
The participant can rejoin the session using the same session code until the professional officially closes it. As long as you keep the session active, the participant can simply refresh their connection and continue.
How long does a session last?
A single session lasts for 100 minutes. The session will automatically close at the end of this duration.
Where can I access the session report afterward?
Once the session is complete, you can find the detailed report in the "Reports" section of your professional dashboard.
Does the participant need a tablet or touch screen to do the activities?
No. Logging into the system from a laptop or desktop computer is actually the most efficient method. All activities are designed to be easily played using a standard mouse. However, participation via tablets and touch screens is also fully supported.
How much of the platform can I experience with the free version?
With Flumi's free plan, you can experience the platform's core features and try out selected activities. Upgrading to the Premium plan grants you full access to the complete activity library, comprehensive reporting tools, and increased session capacity.
